Please call the NHS 111 service (dial 111 free from landline and mobile numbers).

This is an emergency service run by trained operators who will manage each call and action accordingly. This service cannot take any other sort of message from patients, such as making surgery appointments or dealing with requests for repeat prescriptions.

It is more appropriate in extreme emergencies (eg. severe chest pain, collapse) to dial 999 for an ambulance, or Accident cases to go to the Accident & Emergency Dept at the Princess Royal Hospital.
